College rules and regulations

General discipline

The Chirayu Charitable Foundation runs a model educational institution in Bhopal and its surroundings. Do nothing that could lower this image or the esteem in which the college is held.

Maintain discipline and decorum at all times, in college and in public. Do not deface walls or furniture. No games during lecture and class hours. Discipline is reviewed regularly, and disciplinary action is taken for any breach of the rules.

Punctuality

Punctuality in theory and practical classes, demonstrations and college activities is essential, and you will value it even more once you leave college. Teachers are asked to be punctual and not to admit late-comers.

Attendance

Students without the required attendance will not be sent for university examinations. Attendance is recorded faithfully by teaching staff, and the college will not give in to outside or parental pressure. Attendance is displayed on the notice board from time to time, and parents are informed if a student's interest, attendance or performance declines.

Send a leave letter to the college in case of unexpected, unavoidable absence. Medical leave is not counted towards attendance; informing the college of illness is a courtesy.

Students must not take an active part in political agitations against the government, or in public or mass movements that could harm the institution's image.

Ragging

Ragging is a violation of human rights. Respect humanitarian values and say no to ragging. It is not a way of getting to know freshers; it is abusive behaviour.

Following the Honourable Supreme Court's directions, the college takes measures every year to keep the campus ragging-free and give freshers a safe place to learn. Every student gives an undertaking at admission not to take part in ragging in any form.

Associations

No student or group may form an association, except unions or associations set up by the college authorities for student welfare. No notices, journals or other literature may be circulated in college without the Principal's permission. Anyone doing so may be expelled.

Writing to higher authorities

Students may not send letters or representations directly to higher authorities. Submit them to the Principal, who will forward them with remarks.

Mobile phones

Mobile phones must not be used on campus. Anyone carrying a phone into the classroom will be fined heavily and the phone will be confiscated.

Leave

Vacations and leave follow university norms and Indian Nursing Council guidelines.

Withdrawal and dismissal

A student who withdraws voluntarily before completing the course must pay the tuition fee for the entire course. Fees once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.

The institution may dismiss any student whose work or conduct is unsatisfactory during training; the student must then pay the tuition fee for the entire course.

SNA membership

All students must be active members of the Student Nurses Association.

Student health

A full health programme is available to all students, including physical examination, routine lab tests and immunisation. Students must have a complete health check-up at admission and every year after.

A health service runs under the supervision of a staff nurse. Sick students are cared for in the nurses' infirmary or admitted to the hospital, where a team of doctors assigned by hospital management looks after them.

Facilities
